| Message From The President |
I would like to welcome you to the first edition of our society members' newsletter. The leadership of SSH took on the task of creating a newsletter to promote better understanding our & your organization and to facilitate communication. I assume that by joining SSH, you have a strong interest in simulation, and would like to be able to advance the field, learn from others, and perhaps have the opportunity to brag about your accomplishments. The SSH would like to forward those interests because the core function of SSH is to promote simulation and our core resource is you.
This organization is growing so rapidly it can be challenging to engage all our members in where we would like to move the organization, the simulation field, and how members can benefit from joining the society. A few years ago our leadership knew most members by name, right now there is no way we can have that same closeness. Nevertheless, we still want to help people who wish to become involved. Please let us know if the newsletter is helpful.
In this issue, you will find an organizational chart, with listing of key members. There are also committee reports as well as special interest group reports. We are interested in your feedback.
