Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
devita

As members of SSH, you have the opportunity to network with others from your specialty in our very popular Special Interest Groups (SIGs). To join a SIG, log in as a member and look for the link on the bottom right corner of the home page! Coming soon….SIGs will have their own community pages with blogs and the ability to upload pictures….stay tuned for the unveiling of our new website.

Here is a list of available SIGs.

Anesthesiology
Emergency Medicine
Hospital-based Centers
Nursing Simulation
Obstetrics and Gynecology
Pediatrics
Serious Games - Virtual Environments
Surgery
Technicians

Don't see what you are looking for? Volunteer today to start your own - gather at least 10 of your colleagues and make the commitment to meet together monthly and discuss simulation. We provide the conference call number and a meeting room at the annual meeting for you to meet face-to-face.

As our SIG’s continue to grow, they will have additional opportunities within the SSH umbrella. A great example is the Pediatric SIG, who had over 200 members attend their meeting during the IMSH 2009. We are currently working out the details, but we anticipate that Pediatrics will become our first official SECTION with their own sub-leadership. The membership and Bylaws committee will present Bylaws changes for approval to the BOD in June and for ratification by the membership at the Annual Business Meeting in January. This will enable other groups with similar interests and large participation to move forward.

We are so proud of our PEDIATRIC SIG…way to go!
